Volunteer Award

The Volunteer Award recognizes a volunteer whose contributions have had a positive impact on the lives of people with disabilities.

Eligible Nominees

To be consider for this award eligible nominees include:

-volunteers who contribute to the Ottawa community

-those who have volunteered for at least two years

-those who have participated in their volunteer activities within the last five years

-those who are involved in volunteer activities aimed at improving services, supports and quality of life for people with disabilities

Selection Factors

The Celebration of People Selection Committee will consider the following factors in the evaluation of nominees for the Volunteer Award:

-Demonstrated initiative, innovation and/or dedication to improving the lives of people with disabilities

-The range and extent of the nominee’s activities
