Artistic Excellence Award

The Artistic Excellence Award recognizes a person, group or organization with a disability who contributes to the creative and cultural life of our community through his or her chosen artistic medium.

Eligible Nominees

To be consider for this award eligible nominees include:

-Individuals who live, work or attend school in Ottawa, and who have a disability

-Those who are involved in visual, musical, performing, cinematic, literary or photographic art

Selection Factors:

The Celebration of People Selection Committee will consider the following factors in the evaluation of nominees for the Artistic Excellence Award:

-The number of years involved in artistic activities

-The degree to which their art has been shared with or is accessible to others in the community (for example, through displays, exhibits, performances)

-Perseverance in the pursuit of their art in the face of obstacles and/or challenges

-The Selection Committee may select two recipients in this category to recognize an individual and an organization

DEADLINES:

Early Bird Deadline: Monday September 24th, 2018 (enter draw for 2 free tickets)

Final Deadline: Friday October 5th, 2018
